If you have been curious about Contact Improvistation (CI), come learn about all the fun and connection it has to offer. If you already have experience, deepen your practice! All dancers and active movers welcome.
Consent is key
Contact is an intimate form, which is part of its beauty. In this workshop, we will center full-body listening and consent in effort to make the intimacy of this practice feel safe and respectful.

Money Stuff
Early bird rates until Oct 25th then prices go up by $15
Sliding Scale options:
$110: Supporting level: for financially secure: may own multiple assets like car, home, have investments, may have/ will inherited wealth, etc. Paying this level supports others to attend.
$85: Sustaining Level: you can meet all of your financial needs with your income sources, might own a car, can rely on others to save money
$60: Access Level: for undergrad students, underemployed, others rely on you for material/financial support, etc.

Cancellation Policy
Fifty percent refund granted if cancelled by Nov 7. Fee is not refundable beginning Nov 8, though you can transfer your spot so someone else.

JoJo Phoenix Frank (they/them) is based in the land of the Salish Kootenai, now known as Missoula, MT, where they have facilitate weekly Contact Improvisation classes for 3 years. They have been a devotee of CI since 2014, and are influenced by their studies with teachers from all over the world including: Martin Keogh, Leilani Weiss, Eszter Gál, Sole Medina, Paul Singh, Andrew Harwood, Karen Nelson, Sergio Palomares, Stu Phillips, Keith Hennesy, and many others.
JP's inclusive teaching approach is clear, creative, and full of juicy drops of inquiry all shaped by a decade of facilitating somatic meditation, trauma-informed movement trainings, and multiracial community dialogues on power, identity and social change.
